Tater Tot Casserole

Here’s a comforting and classic Tater Tot Casserole recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 package (32 oz) frozen Tater Tots
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped green onions or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat oven: to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat. Season with salt and pepper.
- Mix the filling: In a bowl, combine the cooked beef, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and half of the shredded cheese. Mix well.
- Assemble the casserole: Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Add Tater Tots: Arrange the frozen Tater Tots in a single layer over the beef mixture.
