Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs skirt steak
1 tbs garlic salt I use Lawry’s
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 cup lime juice freshly squeezed
For Guacamole :
2 ripe avocados
1/4 onion finely chopped
1 jalapeno finely chopped (optional)
1/4 cup Cilantro finely chopped
1-2 teaspoons of lime juice
salt to taste
1-2 tomato finely chopped
Directions:
Put the steak in a large bowl. Combine the marinade ingredients and pour over the steak.
Cover the bowl and let marinate in the fridge overnight.
Preheat the grill to a medium heat for 5 minutes. Then grill the meat for 5-7 minutes on each side.
Then transfer to a large tray and cover. Let rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
For Guacamole :
Peel the avocado and remove the core.
Mash the avocado in a molcajete until it reaches your desired consistency
Add the onion, jalapeno, cilantro and tomato and mix well.
Add lime juice and salt to taste.
Serve with warm corn tortillas and pico de gallo , beans and rice .
