Classic pasta and meatballs baked and covered with mozzarella cheese.
* Ingredients
° 1 tablespoon olive oil
° 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
° 2 cloves minced garlic
° Pinch red pepper flakes, optional
° 4 c marinara sauce
° 8 ounces pasta, cut in half before boiling
° 18 fully cooked Italian 1-inch meatballs, homemade or store-bought
° 1 1/2 c mozzarella cheese
* Methods :
Start by boiling the water for the pasta and preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.In saucepan, heat oil olive on medium heat.Add onions also cook, stir occasionally, to onions are tender. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, if using, and cook, stirring, for another minute.
Add marinara sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer while pasta cooks.
Cut the spaghetti in half and add it to the boiling water. Boil 1-2 minutes less than the package suggests. Drain the pasta, then add the pasta to the warm marinara sauce in the skillet. Throw the mix to combine, then level up.
Press cooked meatballs into spaghetti, leaving about 1/3-1/4 uncovered on top. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and place it in a preheated oven. Cook for 15 minutes. Take it out of the oven.
Remove the aluminum foil. Sprinkle shredded cheese over it, then return to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden in spots. Enjoy it !
