🍫 Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients (makes about 24 cookies):

  • 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup (200 g) white sugar

  • 1 cup (200 g) brown sugar, packed

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 3 cups (375 g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups (350 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.

  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.

  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture.

  6. Fold in chocolate chips.

  7. Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet (leave space for spreading).

  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.

  9. Let cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
