Caramel Apple Pecan Cobbler

Garnish a traditional apple pie with caramel sauce and pecans. Very simple to prepare thanks to  refrigerated piecrust!

* Ingredients :

° 1 package PillsburyTM Refrigerated Pie Crusts, softened according to package directions

° 1/4 cup (60 ml) finely chopped pecans

° 175 ml (3/4 cup) sugar

° 30 ml (2 tbsp.) All-purpose flour

° 5 ml (1 teaspoon) ground cinnamon

° 0.5 ml (1/8 tsp) ground nutmeg

° 15 ml (1 tbsp) juice-Lemon

° 15 L (6 cups) cooking apples, peeled and sliced ​​(6 medium apples)

° 1/3 c (75 ml) caramel ice-cream topp

° 1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped pecans

* Steps :

Preheaat oven 220 ° C (425 ° F). Prepare pie shell in a 23-cm (9-inch) glass pie plate, according to directions on box for two pie crusts. Sprinkling 1/4 c (60 ml) finely chop pecans on bottom crust-lined pie plate.

In  bowl, mix sugar, flour, cinnamon & nutmeg. Sweetly stirring in lemon juice & apples. Spoon mix to crust-lined pan. Placing second pie-shell on top, & seal also flute-edges. Scoree or cutting shapes in seveeral places on top crust. If wanted, brush crust with water also sprinkling with sugar.

Baking about 36 to 46 min, or until crust is golden brown. After 15 to 20 minutes of cooking, cover the edges of the crust with strips of foil to prevent excessive browning. Permit cold at least 1 h before serve .

Serving pie waarm with ice cream. Pour in caramel & sprinkling with chop pecans.
