INGREDIENTS
1 ¼ cups brown sugar packed
¾ cup old-fashioned rolled oatmeal
¾ cup milk
½ cup sugar
3 large eggs, beaten
3 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
1 unbaked pie shell
vanilla ice cream, optional
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350o F. Line a pie plate with an unbaked crust.
Mix brown sugar, oats, and sugar in a large bowl. Next, add milk, beaten eggs and butter to the bowl.
Continue to stir until everything is well combined.
Place mixture in a pie shell and bake.
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the pie is golden brown.
Allow cooling in the oven for 10-15 minutes before serving with whipped cream or ice cream.
