Fried fish with spices is a staple in every Indian household, the easiest to make and almost complete with all kinds of hot curry and rice dishes. Even when my mom makes the delicious fish curry, I’m still looking for fried fish. It gives the extra texture and taste that I seek. This is one easy dish and you can try it with any fish fillet and it is the best side dish. I bet you won’t regret doing this!
* Ingredients :
° 2 haddock fillets (or fish of your choice)
° 1 teaspoon cumin powder
° Salt and Pepper
° 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
° 1/2 teaspoon red pepper powder
+For the dough:
° 1 cup self-raising flour
° 2 tablespoons corn flour (add cornmeal to get a more crunchy mixture)
° 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
° Salt, to season
° 250ml cold soda water or cold beer – approx
° frying oil

* Steps :
Prepare the fish by soaking it in spices. Covering & set apart while preparing blend.

TimeIn a mixing bowl we add the ingredients for the dry mixture. Add salt and whisk together.

Make a hole in the middle by adding the liquid. Using a hand whisk or mix a fork to form a thick mixture.

Leave the mixture to rest for 5 minutes while heating the oil for frying.
Time oil is hot enouugh, you can starting frying. The oil must very hot at 190 ° C.

Dip the marinated fish pieces piece by piece in the mixture until they are covered evenly and fry for 3-4 minutes or until crispy and golden.

Transfering it to a dish with a paper. Repeat with the remaining fish pieces, if you are frying a lot of fish, I recommend reheating the oil in between batches.

Enjoy either chucky chips, potato wedges, or salad. And if you’re like me, dip in some chili sauce.
