It’s a family favorite that goes into every cookbook for my kids when they go out and get married. It’s a beautiful dish with lots of color and lots of flavour. Be careful, it’s addictive. If you are on a diet or just looking for vegetables in your meal, this fried bacon recipe is for you.
*Ingredients :
° 1 K (1 pound) finely chop bacon
° 1 tsp olive oil
° 1 onion chopped
° 2 cloves minced garlic
° 2 pounds of chopped cabbage
° Half a teaspoon of salt
°  Half teaspoon ground black pepper
° 1 tsp red pepper flakes
* Methods :
Place the bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and crisp, 7 to 10 minutes. Drain the bacon strips on paper towels and remove most of the bacon fat from the pan.
Adding oil to skillet & heat on heat. Adding onions also garlic. Cook, stir, to onion is soft, about 5 minutes. Add cabbage, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes; Cook, stirring, until cabbage is softened, 10 to 15 minutes. If you prefer tender cabbage, cover the pan while cooking to give it some steam.
Crumble up bacon in skillet and toss with cabbage until well blended.
