  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 + 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 cup (230 g) butter (for frosting)
  • 3 cups (375 g) powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk or cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce or honey (optional)
  • A pinch of edible gold dust (optional)

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line a muffin tin with 12 liners.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time and vanilla. Mix in half the dry ingredients, then milk, then remaining flour mixture until just combined.
  4. Prepare cinnamon swirl: mix brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.

  6. Bake 18–20 minutes. Cool completely.
