Ingredients:
1 package of 1.30 lb thin steaks (boneless beef chuck shoulder)
3 potatoes π₯
1 package of cactus π΅
5 tomatos π
2 onions π°
3 garlic cloves
2 cups of rice
3 packets of sazon goya con culantro y achiote
Korr seasoniong chicken bouillion
Water π§
1 bell pepper.
Directions:
Carne con papas y nopales
Boil 1 bag of catus in water with light salt for 20 min , when its done drain water and rinse. For the meat cut in thin slices and cook in light olive oil with light seasoning for about 5 min (I used greek seasoning)In a seperate skillet roast 4 roma tomatos, 1/2 onion, 1 garlic clove , and 1 small jalapeΓ±o until a little black. Blend with 1 cup of water , 1 packet of sazon goya, 3 tablespoons of Korr seasoning ,add to cooked meat with potatoes, cooked cactus, 1 tomato, and 1/2 diced onion. Simmer for 20 min with lid. Add a little water if needed
Rice π
Brown 2 cups of rice in oil until golden brown , add 1/2 chopped onion , 1/2 tablespoon of minced garlic, 1 diced bell pepper , 2 packets of sazon, and 3 tablespoons of Korr seasoning. Sautee for about 3 min add HOT water 1 inch above rice. Place lid on top cook high/med heat for 15 min, turn down a bit and cook for another 5 min . (No PEEKING π!!!!!) turn flame off to fluff for 10 min and serve .
