OLD FASHIONED APPLE DUMPLINGS

#Ingredients :
1 large apple {I used a Fuji- any apple will do, tart is better}
1 can Pillsbury Crescent dough
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cups sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup or 6 oz. 7-Up or equivalent {half the can}
Steps:
preheat the oven to 350, and grease a baking dish
cut each slice of this into about 8-10 different wedges.
Take the skin off, and then put these apples to the sides.
Take the crescent dough, separating this into triangles.
Roll the wedges from the middle outwards, covering the entire apple with the dough as best as you can.
Pinch the ends of this to seal it, and then gently place this in a baking tray. You can pat the wedge of this dry and then wrap the apple around this to make it simpler.
Take the butter and melt it, mix in the cinnamon and sugar, having it slowly thicken up. From there once it’s thick enough, then take it off the heat, adding in the vanilla.
Put the cinnamon and sugar over your dumplings, and then, add the baking soda that’s there over this.
At this point, you can put this in the oven, and then, bake it for about 4-45 minutes, or until they become a nice, golden brown. Be sure not to overcook!
Take it out, place it on the wire racks until they’re cool enough for you to touch. From there, you can have them!
If you want to make it even better adding a bit more cinnamon and sugar to make it a drizzle, or along the side really heightens the experience.
