Root Beer Float Brownies

For the brownies:

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
4 tablespoons butter
3 eggs
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
8 oz. root beer of your choice
2 1/ 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt

For the frosting:

1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1/3 cup root beer, no foam
5 cups powdered sugar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375°. Grease a 9×9 baking dish.

For the frosting combine softened butter and powdered sugar in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer. Slowly add root beer until frosting consistency is reached. Spread on cooled brownies and cut into 2-inch squares.
