6 hod dog sandwiches or slippers
200 ml of broth
50 ml of vinegar
100 ml of olive oil
5 juniper berries (or 5 bay leaves)
6 large sausages
Salt to taste
mustard if you like
Prepare the vegetable broth, keep it warm until use.
Chop the onion and sauté it in a very large pan with the olive oil. Wash the cabbage and cut it into strips. If you have a slicer you will do better, add it to the pan.
As soon as it is wilted, add the boiling broth and cook for 30 minutes over low heat with a lid.
Meanwhile, cook the Würstel on a hot plate for 10 minutes, turning them often.
Add the vinegar, the juniper berries (if you don’t have them, you can replace them with bay leaves) and the salt and cook for another 10 minutes, raising the heat, adding the Würstel to get the flavor.
