These baked cheese broccoli patties are one of my favorite side dishes. These patties are also great to serve as a snack. These patties are super easy to make, delicious, and healthy! If you have picky eaters, this recipe is an awesome option for them to eat their veggies!


½ onion, finely chopped

16 oz. broccoli, fresh

2 eggs, lightly beaten

2 cloves garlic, minced

¾ c. bread crumbs

½ c. Cheddar cheese, shredded

⅓ c. Parmesan cheese, grated



1 ½ tbsp avocado oil


Step 1: In a small skillet, heat the oil. Then, add the onion and garlic and cook for about 7 minutes or until tender. Set the onion and garlic when done.

Step 2: After blanching the broccoli for about 2 minutes, chop them into small chunks and place them into a large bowl.

Step 3: To the bowl with the broccoli, add the breadcrumbs, lightly beaten eggs, Parmesan cheese, Cheddar cheese, onion, and garlic. To taste, season with salt and pepper. Mix well.

Step 4: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F. Using the parchment paper, line a baking sheet.

Step 5: Shape the mixture into patties. I use a small lid and cover it with plastic wrap. I filled it with the mixture, lightly pressing it. Then, flip the patty out. Do the same with the remaining mixture. Place into the prepared baking sheet. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and flip the patties. Return to the oven and continue baking for 10 minutes more.

Step 6: Serve the patties right away. Enjoy!


1. To make the perfect patties, shape them using a lid.

2. To help remove the patty easily, cover the lid with plastic wrap.

3. You can add an extra egg if you notice that the eggs easily fall apart.
