INGREDIENTS
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 3 c broccoli florets
- 1 tbsp Water
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 1 1/2 lbs. flank steak thinly sliced against the grain
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- For The Sauce:
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 c soy sauce, low sodium
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 c beef broth
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
From the grain, thinly slice the flank steak.
Add 1 tbsp of cornstarch, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1/4 tsp baking soda, and 1 tbsp water into a mixing bowl. Whisk until well blended.
Add the meat slices into the bowl with the mixture, then toss until well coated.
In another mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the sauce. Stir until well blended.
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add 1 tbsp of canola oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the flank steak, then cook all sides for about 2 minutes or until they turn brown.
Add the broccoli, then stir until well combined.
Cover the skillet with the lid, then cook the broccoli for 3 minutes or until they turn bright green.
Remove the skillet from the stove, then stir everything until well blended.
Serve and enjoy!
NOTES
Serve this dish with steamed rice. Mix 1 tbsp of sugar and 1 tbsp soy sauce in exchange for oyster sauce if you like.
