I enjoy recipes that I can make easily without a fuss. Recipes that are versatile and require only a few (readily) available ingredients. I believe that this Creamy Garlic Shrimp is one of the absolute easiest recipes I’ve made! This recipe might be super simple, but it is a homemade restaurant-quality meal that you can make in a breeze! I love this recipe as is but you are welcome to add spinach after the wine has reduced in half and continue to cook until wilted.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons Olive oil

3 tablespoons Butter, unsalted

1 ½ pounds Large shrimp, peeled and deveined with tails on

3 teaspoons Minced garlic

1 ½ cups Heavy whipping cream

½ cup White cooking wine

Salt and pepper to taste

½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

How to make Creamy Garlic Shrimp

Step 1: In a skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook the shrimp on both sides until completely cooked. Set the shrimp aside when done.

Step 2: Adjust the heat to medium, then add the butter and garlic to the now empty pan. Cook until the butter has melted, stirring often.

Step 3: Pour in the cooking wine, stir, and let it simmer until the liquid has reduced by half.

Step 4: Into the skillet, add the heavy whipping cream. Continue to cook, stirring until the sauce has thickened.

Step 5: Then, stir in the Parmesan cheese and return the shrimp to the skillet. Toss well until the shrimp are evenly coated.

Step 6: Remove from the heat and serve the creamy garlic shrimp with your favorite pasta or vegetables. Enjoy!
