Easy Cinnamon Bread

Ingredients.

3 frozen bread doughs (Rhodes Bake-n-Serve).
3/4 cup butter, melted
2 cups granulated sugar
1/4 cup ground cinnamon
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 – 3 tablespoons milk

Method.

Place the frozen bread on a tray and thaw at room temperature, this may take 3-4 hours. They can also be thawed overnight in the refrigerator.
Spray an 8-inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
Make four deep slits in each loaf, cutting almost all the way through, leaving the part that is attached to the bottom.
Brush the bread with melted butter, brushing well inside the cuts.
Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a wide dish and gently roll the bread in the cinnamon sugar. Spread thickly and fill each slice generously with cinnamon sugar.
Place one loaf in each pan and cover with a thin tea towel. Set aside in a warm place until the loaves have doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Bake the bread for 20-25 minutes. Bread will be golden brown and make a hollow sound when tapped on the bottom. Remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
While the bread is cooling, mix the icing. Whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla and 2 tablespoons of milk until smooth. Add more milk, if necessary, until desired consistency is reached. – Drizzle the icing over the warm bread and serve.
Caution.

The apple or peach pie filling will be better if drizzled over the bread before icing.
