Ingredients:
1 pound sirloin steak, sliced thin
2 bell peppers (red and green), sliced
1 onion, sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
Salt to taste
Instructions:
In a bowl, whisk together the cornstarch, 2 tablespoons of water, soy sauce, black pepper, and sugar.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pan or wok over high heat.
Add the sliced steak and stir-fry until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, heat the remaining oil and add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
Return the steak to the pan and pour the sauce over the steak and vegetables. Stir everything together until the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
Serve the pepper steak hot with rice.
