HOW TO MAKE SAUSAGE HASH BROWN BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F. Using cooking spray, lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.

Step 2: Cook the sausage in a large skillet until brown. Then, drain the excess grease and set the sausage aside.

Step 3: In the same skillet, cook the has browns until light brown. If needed, add a little amount of oil. In the bottom of the prepared pan, transfer the hash browns and place the sausage and cheese on top.

Step 4: Combine the eggs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and milk until well blended, then pour this over the brown mixture.

Step 5: At this point, you can cover the casserole and store it in the fridge until ready to bake. Or if serving right away, place in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 to 40 minutes, uncovered.

Notes:

For this recipe, you can use turkey sausage.

Add a couple of minutes to the baking time if baking the casserole after refrigerating.

If frozen, thaw completely, then bake as instructed.

Thaw the casserole completely after freezing, then tent it with aluminum foil and reheat for about 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees until warm.
