It’s serious… I’m not exaggerating when I say that this will be the simplest BBQ chicken you’ve ever prepared. This dish has become a staple in our home ever since I first tried it. It really is that wonderful!
I mean, grilled barbecue chicken is amazing and all, but there’s just nothing like this. However, this dish’s taste is unrivaled, and you won’t even have to slave over a hot grill to prepare it.
After trying this crockpot recipe, you will be a crockpot convert!
Eat it by the plateful, on buns, with rice, in wraps, or on a salad. We prefer it best on hot buns with a dollop of coleslaw. Either way, this BBQ chicken is dang good!
Ingredients
¼ c. brown sugar
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
salt to taste
1 c. BBQ sauce
¼ c. Italian dressing
HOW TO MAKE THE BEST CROCKPOT BBQ CHICKEN
Step 1: Lightly season the chicken breast with salt. Then, place the chicken in a crockpot.
Step 2: Place the BBQ sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a mixing bowl. Mix well until blended. Then, pour this over the chicken.
Step 3: Set to cook for 3 to 4 hours on high.
Step 4: Either you serve the breast whole or shred it is all up to you! If you prefer shredding the chicken, allow the shredded chicken to cook in the sauce for another 10 to 15 minutes to soak up all the flavor.
Step 5: Serve this crockpot bbq chicken on buns, in wraps, over rice, or enjoy it as is. My go-to is serving this on fresh rolls and topping it with coleslaw.
