Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 package cheese tortellini (9 oz) Fresh or frozen, boiled until tender.
  • 1 jar pizza sauce (24 oz) Your favorite store-bought or homemade pizza sauce.
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni Mini or regular size; turkey pepperoni for less grease.
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded For that classic melt and stretch.
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, optional Adds salty, nutty depth.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning For that signature pizza aroma.
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish Enhances freshness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures everything gets bubbly and gorgeously browned.
  • Cook the tortellini according to the package directions, usually a quick 3-5 minute boil if fresh. Be careful not to overcook.
  • In a large bowl, toss together the cooked tortellini, pizza sauce, and half of the shredded mozzarella.

Assembly

  • Spread the saucy tortellini in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Top with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan (if using), then scatter the pepperoni slices over the top.

Baking

  • Finish with Italian seasoning. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the pepperoni edges are crisp.
  • Sprinkle with chopped basil or parsley before serving.

Notes

Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving; this helps the cheesy layers set up perfectly. For extra golden, bubbly top, broil for the last 2–3 minutes—just watch closely!
