Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs ground beef (80-85% lean)
  • 1 bag shoestring French fries
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup burger sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper
Optional Toppings
  • diced tomatoes
  • pickles
  • onions

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a baking dish, layer half of the French fries at the bottom.
  4. Add the cooked ground beef on top of the fries, followed by the burger sauce and shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Top with the remaining French fries and more cheese if desired.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Remove from oven and add optional toppings before serving.

Notes

For a quicker prep, brown the beef the night before and refrigerate. Can be made healthier with lean meats and added veggies.
