Preparation
- Let the cream cheese sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to soften.
Mixing
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Adding Flavors
- Gently fold in the chopped cranberries and nuts. Optionally, add chopped herbs for more flavor.
Chill
- Transfer the mixture to a serving dish, smooth the top, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Serve
- Remove from refrigerator and serve with an assortment of crackers or bread.
Notes
Garnish with additional chopped cranberries and herbs for presentation. The spread can be made a day or two in advance.
