Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 liter cold filtered water about 4 cups
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange slices about 1 small orange, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lemon thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lime thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup thin cucumber slices optional, for coolness
  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves gently bruised
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup adjust to taste, optional
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt for natural electrolytes
  • 1/2 cup coconut water or 1 cup sparkling water, optional for added electrolytes or fizz
  • Ice and extra citrus/mint for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large pitcher, add the sliced orange, lemon, lime, cucumber, and bruised mint leaves.
  2. Pour in the cold filtered water and add the pinch of sea salt. If using, add coconut water now for extra electrolytes.
  3. Stir gently to combine. For slightly sweetened water, dissolve 1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup in 1-2 tbsp warm water before adding, or simply mix it in well.
  4. Let the mixture steep in the fridge for at least 1 hour — ideally 2-4 hours or overnight for the best flavor. Quick tip: if you're in a hurry, muddle the citrus and mint lightly in the bottom of the pitcher, add ice, and serve immediately.
  5. To serve: pour over ice, top with sparkling water if you want fizz, and garnish with extra mint and a citrus wheel.
  6. Stir gently between pours to keep flavors balanced. Enjoy cold.

Notes

Keep covered in the fridge up to 48–72 hours. For best flavor and appearance, remove fruit after 24–36 hours and top up with fresh water. Strain before storing if you want a clearer drink.
