Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
  • Melt the butter and let it cool slightly, then whisk in the sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla.

Combining Ingredients

  • Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
  • Gently fold in chocolate chips or berries.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into a greased 8×8 pan (or muffin tins for individual treats).
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
