Preparation
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and let it warm up while you prep the casserole.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, stir together the cooked rice, shredded chicken, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, frozen mixed vegetables, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is well combined.
- Transfer to Baking Dish: Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with a bit of cooking spray or butter. Pour the mixture into the dish and spread it evenly.
- Add Cheese (Optional): If using, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbling and the cheese has melted and turned a light golden brown.
- Cool and Serve: Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
