Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) while you gather your ingredients.
- In a medium skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are translucent and fragrant.
- Toss in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until it turns golden.
- Pour in the heavy cream along with salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir gently, allowing the mixture to thicken for about 3-5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked pasta with the creamy sauce and half of the shredded cheese.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let it sit for about 5 minutes before digging in.
Notes
For best results, use room-temperature ingredients when possible. You can assemble the dish a day in advance, cover it, and pop it in the fridge. Just bake it directly from the fridge, adding a few extra minutes to the bake time.
