Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground meat (chicken, turkey, or beef, room temperature)
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth (low sodium preferred)
  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut milk (for a lighter version)
  • 2 cups whole grain pasta or gluten-free pasta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing)
Spices
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or basil, optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Finely chop the vegetables and set them aside.
Sautéing
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped vegetables and sauté until they are tender and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
Cooking the Meat
  1. Add the ground meat to the skillet. Use a spatula to break it up and cook until browned, around 8-10 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Add the broth to the skillet and stir. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes until it slightly thickens.
Finishing Touches
  1. Pour in the heavy cream and stir until combined. Then, add the pasta and stir to coat. Let it simmer on low for another 5 minutes until the pasta absorbs some sauce.
