Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the softened butter and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
