  • 1 large onion, sliced into rings Red onions get extra caramelized if desired.

For the Fries

  • 4 medium potatoes, cut into fries Russets provide the ultimate crispy fry.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For roasting fries and brushing the grill.
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika Brings smoky depth.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Simple but so tasty.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Always taste and adjust.

For Garnish

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish Adds color and freshness.

Preparation of Fries

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss your cut potatoes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Spread them out on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Grilling the Meat

  • Season the steak strips with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; let them sit.
  • Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high and brush with remaining olive oil.
  • Grill steak strips for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness.
  • Add sausage slices and onion rings to the grill; cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until beautifully charred.

Plating and Serving

  • Arrange grilled meat and onions on a platter, adding a heap of fries on the side.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy fries, pat the potatoes dry before tossing with oil and seasonings. If you don’t have smoked paprika, use regular and add a pinch of cumin for depth.
