- Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat until just melted and bubbly, but not browned.
- Add the mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir until melted and smooth, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the cereal and mix until fully coated using a gentle folding motion.
- Press the mixture into a greased dish and let it cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
These marshmallow squares are best when allowed to cool and firm up before serving. You can add chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit for additional flavor.
