Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar Ensure sugar is fully dissolved
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup Optional for chocolate ice cream version

  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks For added texture

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Stir in the vanilla extract. If you’re making chocolate ice cream, add the chocolate syrup and mix until combined.
  3. Cover the mixture and refrigerate it for 2 hours.
Churning and Freezing
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions, usually around 20-30 minutes.
  2. Once it reaches a soft-serve consistency, fold in chocolate chips or chunks if desired.
  3. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container, smooth the top with a spatula, and freeze for at least 4 hours.
Serving

Notes
