Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and water. Whisk it until there are no lumps.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it reaches a boil and thickens.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until thick and gooey.
  4. Stir in the rosewater.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased pan. Let it cool completely.
  6. Once firm, cut into squares and dust generously with powdered sugar.

Notes

Keep stirring to avoid lumps. Let it cool properly before cutting to prevent falling apart. Experiment with different flavored extracts or colors for fun variations.
