  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Brings richness and structure. Use room-temperature for best texture.
  • 1 cup peanut butter Creamy peanut butter works best for a smooth dip.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Sweetens and thickens without graininess.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Rounds out the flavors.
Mix-Ins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Semi-sweet or milk, your choice.
  • 1 cup mini M&Ms or candy-coated chocolate For color and crunch.
For Serving
  • As needed various Fruit, pretzels, or cookies Apples, graham crackers, or pretzels work great.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Beat the cream cheese and peanut butter together in a mixing bowl until smooth. Start on low, then bump to medium.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing well until fully combined. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips and mini M&Ms with a rubber spatula, reserving some for sprinkling on top.
  4. Serve immediately with fruit, pretzels, or cookies for dipping. For a firmer dip, chill for 20-30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a peanut-free version, substitute peanut butter with sunflower seed butter. If cream cheese is too cold, microwave it for a few seconds to soften.
