- In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and butter. Set the bowl over a pot of simmering water, stirring occasionally until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until completely smooth and combined.
- Pour the mixture into a lined baking dish and smooth the top. Refrigerate for at least two hours, or until set.
- Once set, remove from the fridge, and using a sharp knife, cut into bite-sized pieces. Optionally, coat or top with sprinkles, crushed nuts, or cocoa powder.
- Arrange on a beautiful platter and share with your loved ones!
Notes
For a deeper chocolate taste, use high-quality dark chocolate with a higher cocoa percentage. Keep in mind to let the chocolate melt slowly to retain its smoothness. You can also make these a day in advance for richer flavors.
