  • 8 oz dark chocolate (finely chopped) Use high-quality for best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream (at room temperature) Ensure cream is at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar Adjust based on taste.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt

  • Cocoa powder For dusting.

Preparation
  1. In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and butter. Set the bowl over a pot of simmering water, stirring occasionally until melted and smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until completely smooth and combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into a lined baking dish and smooth the top. Refrigerate for at least two hours, or until set.
  4. Once set, remove from the fridge, and using a sharp knife, cut into bite-sized pieces. Optionally, coat or top with sprinkles, crushed nuts, or cocoa powder.
  5. Arrange on a beautiful platter and share with your loved ones!

Notes

For a deeper chocolate taste, use high-quality dark chocolate with a higher cocoa percentage. Keep in mind to let the chocolate melt slowly to retain its smoothness. You can also make these a day in advance for richer flavors.
