Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, diced tomatoes with green chilies, shredded cheese, and garlic powder. Mix until mostly smooth; a few lumps are fine.
  3. Spread the mixture into an 8x8-inch baking dish, smoothing the top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20–25 minutes, or until bubbly and just starting to brown at the edges.
  2. Let it rest for 3–5 minutes before serving warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

For optimal results, allow cream cheese to soften at room temperature before mixing. Drain canned tomatoes slightly to avoid a watery dip. For a golden top, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end of baking.
