π§ Ingredients
For the Cake:
- 2 + 1/2 cups (310 g) flour
- 1 tablespoon granulated coffee
- 1 tablespoon hot water (to dissolve the coffee)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (230 g) butter (at room temperature)
- 1 + 1/2 cups (300 g) sugar
- 4 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) milk
For the Caramel Sauce:
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons (85 g) butter (cubed)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream
- A pinch of salt
For the Coffee Caramel Buttercream:
- 1 cup (230 g) butter (at room temperature)
- 3 cups (360 g) powdered sugar (sifted)
- 1 tablespoon granulated coffee + 1 tablespoon hot water (melted)
- 3 tablespoons caramel sauce (cooled)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- A pinch of salt

1οΈβ£ Caramel Sauce
- Melt sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Once amber, add butter and stir until melted.
- Slowly add cream, stirring constantly (it will foam).
- Add salt, remove from heat, and let cool.
2οΈβ£ Cake
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease two 8-inch cake pans.
- Dissolve coffee in hot water and set aside.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs, vanilla, and melted coffee.
- Add dry ingredients alternately with milk (flour β milk β flour β milk β flour).
- Divide into pans and bake 25β30 minutes.
- Cool completely before frosting.

- Beat butter until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually mix in powdered sugar.
- Add melted coffee, caramel sauce, vanilla, and salt.
- Beat until soft, light, and spreadable.
4οΈβ£ Assembling the Cake
- Place first cake layer on a plate and spread frosting on top.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over it.
- Place second cake layer and cover entire cake with buttercream.
