Banana Bread Recipe

Introduction

Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 very ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar (can reduce to 1/2 cup if desired)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix Butter and Mashed Bananas:
    • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
    • Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  3. Add Baking Soda and Salt:
    • Mix in the baking soda and salt to the banana mixture.
  4. Mix in the Sugar, Egg, and Vanilla:
    • Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Add the Flour:
    • Gradually add the flour into the banana mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Pour into Pan and Bake:
    • Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool and Serve:
    • Remove the banana bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes.
    • Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
