Sometimes we’re too tired of cooking, we just want a sandwich for lunch as a change, right? I made this slow-cooked Philadelphia cheesesteak many times for dinner, and sometimes for lunch! Look at this.
You’re gonna need it:
2 ½ at 3 pounds of ground beef.
2 slices of fine green peppers.
2 slices of fine onions.
3 cups of beef broth.
2 teaspoons garlic salt.
2 tsp. black pepper
1 envelope of the dry Italian dressing mixture
1 or 2 large loaves of French bread cut into sandwich pieces
Slices of provolone cheese
In a sprayed slow cooker, place the thin strips of meat and add the green pepper, onion, broth, garlic, salt, pepper, and dressing mixture.
Cook covered for 7 to 8 hours over low heat or 3 to 4 hours over high heat.
Stuff the sandwiches with French bread or toasted rolls if desired and cover with cheese.
Bake on a baking sheet for a couple of minutes to melt the cheese and serve with sauteed mushrooms on top if desired.
Enjoy!
