Ingredients

1 tbsp Olive oil, plus additional as needed

3-3 ½ pounds thick cut top sirloin steaks, cut into bite-size pieces

¼ c. teriyaki sauce

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 tsp sesame seed oil

1 tbsp light brown sugar

1 tsp garlic powder

1 large onion, sliced into ¼” wedges

1 tsp red pepper flakes

1 large green bell pepper, seeded and thinly sliced (Or a poblano pepper)

1 tsp garlic salt

How to make Teriyaki Steak Bites with Green Pepper and Onion

Step 1: Into about ¾-inch bite-size cubes, cut the steak.

Step 2: Place the teriyaki, brown sugar, cornstarch, sesame seed oil, garlic powder, garlic salt, and red pepper flakes in a small mixing bowl. Mix well until combined. Then, stir in the brown sugar and cornstarch until fully dissolved. Pour this over the steak bites. Toss well to evenly coat the steak bites.

Step 3: Add olive oil to a 12-inch large skillet and heat on high. Toss in the steak bites in batches once the oil is hot and fry for about 4 to 6 minutes on both sides, flipping as needed. Feel free to adjust the cooking time to your preferred doneness.

Step 4: Transfer the cooked steak bites to a plate and keep them warm while cooking the remaining batches. As needed, add more olive oil to the skillet between the batches.

Step 5: To the skillet, add the green pepper and onion. Saute over medium-high heat for about 2 to 3 minutes until crisp-tender. If needed, adjust the salt.

Step 6: Return the steak bites to the skillet and stir well.

Step 7: Take the skillet off the heat when done, and serve the Teriyaki Steak Bites with Green Pepper and Onion right away. Enjoy!
